VACCINATIONS – 54% of Alaskans age 12 and older have received at least their first vaccine dose.

CASES – DHSS today announced 93 new people identified with COVID-19 in Alaska over the past three days:
- June 18 – 37 residents, 2 nonresidents
- June 19 – 36 residents, 3 nonresidents
- June 20 – 13 residents, 2 nonresidents
86 total residents in: Anchorage (38), Hooper Bay (9), Wasilla (9), North Pole (4), Eagle River (3), Juneau (2), Palmer (2), Sitka (2), Soldotna (2), Tok (2), Wrangell (2), and one each in Bethel Census Area, Chugach Census Area, Craig, Delta Junction, Homer, Kodiak, Mat-Su Borough, Metlakatla, Northwest Arctic Borough, Skagway and Willow.
Seven new nonresident cases were identified in:
- Unalaska: three in seafood industry
- Anchorage: one in ‘other industry’
- Fairbanks: one in ‘other industry’
- Kenai: one with purpose under investigation
- Valdez: one with purpose under investigation
Five resident cases were subtracted from the dashboard due to data verification procedures bringing the total number of Alaska resident cases to 68,112 and the total number of nonresident cases to 2,851.
HOSPITALIZATIONS & DEATHS – There have been a total of 1,602 resident hospitalizations and 366 resident deaths, with two new hospitalizations and no new resident deaths reported.
There are currently 10 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 who are hospitalized and one additional patient who is considered a person under investigation (PUI) for a total of 11 current COVID-related hospitalizations. Four of these patients are on ventilators. The percentage of patients currently hospitalized with COVID-19 is 1.2%.
TESTING – A total of 2,345,698 tests have been conducted, with 13,784 tests conducted in the previous seven days. The average percentage of daily positive tests for the previous seven days is 1.2%.
ALERT LEVELS – The current statewide alert level, based on the average daily case rate over 14 days per 100,000, is low at 3.49 cases per 100,000. One region of Alaska is in high alert status with widespread community transmission; two regions are at intermediate alert status with moderate transmission; and eight regions are at low alert with minimal transmission.
