A fire that started underneath a tractor-trailer hauling double tanks on the the Richardson Highway closed that roadway for a time on Monday.

The fire was reported at just after 9:30 am this morning in the area of Rainbow Mountain near Paxson.

Emergency crews reponded to the scene between mile 201 and 212. No injuries were reported.

Both lanes of the highway were closed for the morning until just before the noon hour.
