Fairbanks Woman Found Dead in Home, Husband Arrested on Charges

Within hours of discovering the body of 25-year-old Tamara Santori dead in her home on McGrath Road on Tuesday, troopers arrested her husband, 25-year-old Jason Gautam, on charges of first degree murder.

After his Monday arrest, Gautam was to be arraigned early on Tuesday afternoon. But, on Tuesday, charging documents had yet to be filed and his arraignment was put off for a day.. He is currently due to be arraigned at 1:30 pm on Wednesday. Although on Wednesday morning, charging documents have yet to be listed online.

As the investigation is active, troopers are not releasing any additional information.

Santori’s remains were sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Anchorage for autopsy, but no information detailing cause of death have been made public.

Gautam is being held at the Fairbanks Correctional Center on no bail pending arraignment.
