A 68-year-old Eagle River man died on Saturday after he was crushed by trees as he was helping clear a vacant lot in preparation to erecting a house on the property on Magnificent View Drive in Palmer, troopers reported Sunday.
Curtis D. Abbas was cutting trees on the property when one tree he was cutting, came down on two more trees, bringing all three down on him. No one saw the incident.
Emergency personnel pronounced Abbas dead at the scene. Next of kin were notified of his passing and his body was released to the State Medical Examiner’s office for autopsy.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
