Four Kobuk Suspects Arrested in Cash and Carry Burglary

burglary investigationAlaska State Troopers reported making arrests in the burglary of Kobuk’s Rainbow Cash and Carry Store that took place in that community mid-month.

Arrested last Wednesday on warrants were Kobuk residents Herbert Wood, Rhinehart Sun, and Brandon Custer, all 19-years-old, and 20-year-old Brandon Custer. The  Northwest Arctic Borough Village Public Safety Officer from Shungnak, and the Village Police Officer in Kobuk assisted AST in making the arrests.

According to the report, the four suspects broke into the store causing $750 worth of damage and then stole multiple items valued at over $2,500.

All four were transported to Kotzebue where they were remanded to the Kotzebue Regional Jail.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
