IERCC sent the coordinates to the activated signal to troopers. The coordinates were found to be the Alagnak River in an area of swiftwater and canyons.
Alaska Wildlife Troopers launched a helicopter out of King Salmon and made their way to the location.
At 11:17 pm, three men were located along the shore of the Alagnak River. The rafters 32-year-old John Notestine, 63-year-old John Cornwell, and 55-year-old Paul Hanson were cold and wet from their ordeal.
All three men were transported downriver to their base camp and dropped off there to rejoin their party.
