The Alaska State Troopers reported on Thanksgiving that early Thanksgiving day morning, they were called about a fight in progress in Kodiak.
Troopers responded to the scene to find two women in a physical altercation. Troopers tried to separate the two women, later identified as 21-year-old Gwendolyn Christiansen of Old Harbor and a 46-year-old woman only identified as being from Ouzinkie.
Troopers attempted to quiet G. Christiansen down, but she refused to do so. Subsequently, troopers subdued G. Christiansen, arresting her on Disorderly Conduct charges.
Immediately after placing G. Christiansen under arrest, 47-year-old Rolf Christiansen started a fight with troopers. As a result, R. Christiansen was also placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct.
Troopers transported the two Christiansens to the Kodiak Jail where they were remanded on charges, and their bails set at $250.
“Charges of Assault IV against G. Christiansen and the 46-year-old female will be forwarded to the Kodiak District Attorney’s office for review,” stated the trooper dispatch.
Troopers said alcohol was a factor in the arrests.
