Early on Friday morning, at 5:01 am, Alaska State Troopers received a call from an elderly Kodiak woman reporting that she had been assaulted.
Troopers say that they received a call from the 76-year-old who told them that 35-year-old Doreen Williams assaulted her on Thursday. She also recounted how Williams had assaulted her previously on about August 18th.
When troopers arrived at the residence this morning, Williams had already fled the scene. But, troopers would soon find her hiding in the woods nearby.
After she was located, troopers placed Williams under arrest and transported her to the Kodiak Jail where she was remanded on charges of Assault IV (DV).
Williams is being held without bail pending arraignment.
Troopers say that alcohol played a factor in today’s incident.
