One person is dead and another 3 were taken to the hospital after a suspected carbon monoxide leak at a Meadow Lakes residence on Thursday morning.
A 911 call was made by a woman this morning at approximately 9:10 am reporting that she found two unconscious persons, a male and a female at a home in the Meadow Lakes are. Palmer patrol and EMS responded to the scene and medics performed CPR on both individuals. CPR was unsuccessful on the female and she was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The unconscious male was transported to Providence hospital for treatment.
A child was found in the home as well. According to the troopers, the child was functional and conscious. The dispatch goes on to say that as a precaution, the child and the woman who discovered and called in the incident were transported to the hospital as well.
The carbon monoxide leak was traced to a faulty boiler at the home.
A deputy fire marshal as well as an Enstar employee also responded to the scene on Thursday afternoon to investigate the source of the leak.
Authorities have not yet released names in the incident.
