WASILLA-On Saturday, May 26th, at about 5:48 pm, the Bureau of Highway Patrol Troopers were notified and responded to a report of a single vehicle accident on Blue Lupine Drive near Viki Way.

When they arrived at the scene they found that a 2013 Harley Davidson, driven by Allen Risner, age 25, of Fairbanks, crashed while traveling northbound on Lupine Drive.

The investigation revealed that Risner left the roadway and impacted near a ditch and the bike path.

Although damage to the bike was minimal, Risner was transported to Providence Hospital in Anchorage with life threatening injuries.

On Mondaay, at 1:45 pm, Risner succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at Providence Hospital’s Adult Critical Care Unit.

Risner was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

The investigation into the crash is continueing.

Risner’ next of kin has been notified.
