Mile 92.5 of the Seward Highway was the scene of a fatal motorcycle accident on Wednesday night.
The Soldotna Public Safety Communication Center was notified at 9:02 pm of a motorcycle/vehicle accident. Several 911 calls were received reporting the collision.

Troopers and Bureau of Highway patrol responded from Girdwood as did troopers from Soldotna.
The investigation at the scene would find that while traveling northbound on the Seward Highway, a 2010 Yamaha Venture Star, driven by 61-year-old John Beyers of Anchorage, collided into the back of a 2006 BMW Coupe as it was slowing to turn left into a pullout on the opposite side of tthe road.
A second motorcycle traveling behind Beyers crashed into the first motorcycle and Beyers after it impacted the BMW. A third motorcycle traveling in the group avoided collision.
The driver of the BMW, 60-year-old Gerald Hanson, or his passenger, 68-year-old Brenda Hanson were not injured in the accident.
Beyers and the driver of the seecond motorcycle, 67-year-old Robert Farrington, were transported by Girdwood and Anchorage ambulance. Farrington was treated for minor injuries. Beyers was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Beyers next of kin was notified.
The investigation into the incident is continuing.
