Anchorage Police Arrest Two Suspects in Connection to Sunday Fairbanks Shooting

image15-12-2015-10.45.04Anchorage Police made two arrests on Monday in connection with the early Sunday morning shooting of a 19-year-old female at a large party on Drake Street in Fairbanks the trooper dispatch reported on Tuesday.

It was at 3:07 am on Sunday morning that troopers received a report of shots fired at a large party on Drake Street. When troopers arrived, they would find that 19-year-old Janet Barragan had suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound.

Although there were a number people at the locvation when troopers arrived, they would find that the shooting suspect had already fled the area.

Barragan was transported to Fairbanks Memorial then on to Providence Hospital in Anchorage.

On Monday afternoon, Anchorage police would locate the suspect’s vehicle parked at an Anchorage residence. s police waited, two suspects exited the residence and departed in a different vehicle. Police performed a traffic stop and arrested a juvenile male and a 20-year-old man identified as Fairbanks resident Levi Skulstad.

The juvenile was was transported and remanded to the McLaughlin Youth Center, while Skulstad was transported to the Anchorage Correctional Complex and remanded there on charges of Hindering Prosecution I.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
