It was at 6:37 pm that Alaska State Troopers received a call reporting an incidence of Domestic Violence at a residence off of Taku Street in Homer.
Troopers responded to investigate the incident and troopers say that the investigation found that a man, identified as, 33-year-old Robert L Drake had physically assaulted his girlfriend and placed her in feear of injury. During the incident, it was also found that Drake had damaged a wall in the home causing less than $500 worth of damage.
As a result of their investigation, troopers placed Drake under arrest. It was also found that Drake had multiple assault convictions within the last ten years that were DV related. Those prior assault convictions caused this current charge to become a Felony Assault.
Drake was charged with Assault III-DV, Interfering with the Report of a DV Crime, and Criminal Mischief IV-DV.
Drake was transported to the Homer Jail where he was remanded with no bail.
