After receiving an early morning report of suspicious circumstances at an apartment on the 5300-block of East 4th Avenue on Tuesday, police responded to the scene to discover blood on the doorways, halls, and stairwell.
Officers interviewed residents in the building and reviewed surveillance footage that revealed that a man was delivering newspapers at 3:30 am and was attacked. APD went to the man’s residence and he came to the door and was visibly injured. He was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
When interviewed, the victim told police that he was delivering newspapers in the 4th and Capricorn Circle area when he was attacked by “three white males.” He said after the attack, he completed his paper route before going home.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]”He wasn’t clear on how he was assaulted and why he didn’t call 911 immediately. After being admitted to the hospital, it was determined the victim was stabbed multiple times,” police stated.
