Old Glenn Rollover Traps Palmer Woman in Vehicle

image08-04-2015 09.03.54Troopers in Palmer report that there were no citation s issued in the rollover accident that closed both lanes of the Old Glenn Highway late last night.

The trooper investigation into the rollover accident at mile 8.5 of the Old Glenn Highway found that 21-year-old Palmer resident Sequea Riemersma failed to negotiate a turn and ran off the road. When she did so, her vehicle rolled over and trapped her in her vehicle.

Fire personnel and EMS responded to the scene. Troopers also arrived at 11:14 pm, and shut down both lanes of traffic. Fire personnel put out a small engine campartment fire and EMS worked to extricate Riemersma from the vehicle. The investigations found she was wearing her seat belt and the vehicle’s airbags properly deployed.

Riemersma suffered no apparent injuries troopers reported.
