Anchor Point-based Alaska State Troopers say that they made a warrant arrest of a Homer man who was implicated in a Thursday evening Robbery/Theft/Assault incident that took place on the Ninilchik Beach in Ninilchik.

Troopers report that 25-year-old Sean Carpenter of Homer was arrested without incident at a Homer residence on Saturday.

Carpenter was wanted in connection with the Thursday night robbery of an Anchor Point man. The victim was at an Anchor Point business when he was approached by two men, one of which was identified as Carpenter, and asked to give them a ride to Kenai.

When they had traveled as far as Ninilchik, the two men asked the victim to drive down to the Ninilchik Beach. When they arrived, the two men assaulted the victim, robbed him, then fled the scene in another vehicle that had been following them.

Troopers were unable to locate Carpenter and the other suspect identified as 23-year-old Homer resident Clarence Hock immediately after the reported incident. On Friday, the Homer Court issued a warrant for Carpenter on charges of Robbery I, Theft II, and Assault III. The court also issued a warrant for Hock for Robbery I and Theft II.

Although they now have Carpenter in custody, troopers are still looking for Hock.

Troopers are asking that anyone with knowledge of Hock’s whereabouts, to contact them at 235-8239.
