Saying that 54-year-old Rory Brown put his children “through a nightmare” for a long period of time by someone they trusted, Judge Eric Smith handed down the sentence for 29 counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor and one count of Incest on Tuesday, according to trooper dispatch.

According to court documents, Brown had sexually abused his two children multiple times over a 12-year period, beginning the abuse when they were approximately nine-years-old.

Brown, who is from Wasilla, was convicted in March on the charges by jury.

Brown received 268.5 years for the offenses with 107 years suspended. Brown must serve 161.5 years.
