At 8 pm Wednesday evening, the Alaska State Troopers suspended its efforts to locate the 20-year-old Delta Junction man, Emmanuel "Martin" Hosier, who was last seen at 9 pm July 8th.
It was the family of the missing man that reportedly saw him last. An inquery into his whereabouts came about as a result of troopers finding Hosier’s empty vehicle parked at a local Delta Junction bluff overlooking the Tanana River on July 9th.
A Search and Rescue operation was launched Tuesday, July 10th, after Hosier failed to show up to work for two days, and efforts to locate him in the village were unsuccessful.

An R-44 helicopter was brought in by an Alaska Wildlife trooper and the general area where Hosier’s vehicle was found was searched to no avail. The trail and river was searched by the Fairbanks PAWS organization. That organization brought in four dog teams consisting of one tracking dog and three cadaver dogs to cover the area. This search was also unsuccessful.
On Wednesday, Fairbanks Wilderness Search and Rescue joined the search for the missing Delta Junction man, while two boats dragged the river-bottom, and another searched the river.
Several community people came out and searched the area, combing the bluff, riverbanks and woods.
All of the searching failed to uncover any clues as to the path he may have taken or where he may have been. This prompted the search suspension until any new clues may come to light.
