Soldotna Driver Tracked Down and Arrested on $100,000 worth of Warrants

A suspect being sought since April 9th has been apprehended and is being held on $100,000 bail the Alaska State Troopers reported on Monday morning.

On last Monday, troopers responded to the Sports Lake Road area after receiving reports of suspicious vehicles in that area. When they arrived on the scene, they observed one suspicious vehicle and attempted to make contact with the driver. Troopers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver ignored them and attempted to elude them by intentionally driving off of the road and fleeing on foot.

Troopers opened an investigation and identified the suspect as Dagnall Leigh Moran-Tacey, age 32. With the assistance of citizens across the Kenai Peninsula, investigators were able to locate the suspect and arrest him on Sunday. He was charged with Fail to Stop At Direction Of Peace Officer, Reckless Driving, and Improper Use of Evidence of Registration.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]Moran-Tacey was also found to have multiple warrants for failure to appear on cases of Theft IV x2, Vehicle Theft I, MICS IV x2, Misconduct Involving Weapons V, Criminal Trespass II, Disorderly Conduct, and Resisting Arrest x2.
