A Village Public Safety Officer based in Fairbanks was dispatched to Manley Hot Springs at 14 minutes past midnight on Saturday to conduct a welfare check on an individual there AST reported.
The 33-year-old male subject had not been seen since noon the previous day according to the Health Aide in Manley. The VPSO arrived at the location of the subject and contacted him at approximately 6:30 am on Saturday.
Based on the VPSO’s investigation, it was determined that additional assistance was required and Helo-2 was launched along with an additional trooper. The chopper arrived in Manley at 8:10 am. Upon arrival, the subject was placed under Title 47 status and successfully transported to the Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.
