Trapper Creek Man Arrested on DUI, Passing School Bus Charges

Alaska State Troopers arrested a Trapper Creek driver after a report of a vehicle passing a stopped school bus off-loading children on Monday.

Troopers report that they received a call stating that an older red Toyota had “passed a stopped school bus actively off-loading students” near mile 79 of the Parks Highway in Willow at 3:30 pm Monday.

AST responded to the call and would eventually locate the suspect  vehicle near mile 95 of the highway near Talkeetna. Troopers say that when they contacted the driver, identified as 26-year-old Logan Parsons of Trapper Creek, their investigation would reveal that Parsons was driving under the influence of drugs.

Parsons was arrested on charges of DUI and Overtaking and Passing a School Bus. Troopers continued their investigation and would also find that Parsons was on probation for the charge of Assault III.

Palmer Adult Probation would subsequently revoke Parson’s probation and he was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer where he was remanded without bail.
