Troopers Arrest Two after Investigating Suspicious Vehicle at Palmer Tesoro Station

trooperarrestWhile on patrol near the Wasilla area during the early morning hours of Wednesday, Alaska State troopers contacted a suspicious vehicle at the Tesoro gas station at the Palmer Wasilla Highway and Seward Meridian Parkway intersection.

During their investigation, troopers would find that a passenger in the vehicle, 21-year-old Palmer resident Mckenzie Larsen, who had given troopers a false name, had a “$5000 warrant for her arrest for Failure to Comply with Probation on the original charge of Theft II,” the trooper dispatch reports.

With the assistance of AST K-9 “Chevron,” troopers would find that the driver of the vehicle, 27-year-old Houston resident, Thomas Jones, was in possession of crystal methamphetamine.

Jones was arrested for Misconduct Involving Controlled Substances IV. 

Jones and Larsen were both transported to Palmer and remanded to the  Mat-Su Pretrial Facility. Jones’ bail was set at $2,500 for the MICS IV charge. Larsen was charged with False Information and the active warrant. Her bail was set at $5,500 plus a Court Approved Third Party Custodian.
