20-year-old Selawik resident, Douglas J. Brown Jr, was reported as a REDDI (Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately) driver at 9:39 pm on December 25th after he was seen leaving Noorvik on a snow machine wearing “clothing not suited for cold temperatures,” it was reported by troopers.

Prior to the REDDDI report, Brown was seen by snow-machine owner, John Loon, taking his snow machine from outside of a Selawik residence where Loon had gone inside at approximately 8 pm. Loon reported to authorities that Brown may have departed to Noorvik approximately 35 miles distant, where Brown has family.

Brown has been positively identified in two other snow machine thefts in the last month. Those two snow machines have since been recovered and returned to their owners.
