After a long investigation into drug smuggling into Kodiak, Alaska State Troopers made an arrest at the Anchorage airport on Saturday.
After their investigation indicated that Kodiak woman, 42-year-old Tamara Jones, may have narcotics on her person, troopers arrested Jones and served a search warrant on her.
Jones was taken to an Anchorage hospital, where she underwent a full-body scan. When the scan revealed that Jones had drugs concealed in her body, Jones gave up the evidence. Jones produced a balloon that had approximately one ounce of heroin and 8 grams of Meth.
Authorities estimate the value of the narcotics at $25,000.
Jones was arrested on charges of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV x2 as well as MICS II and MICS III.
Jones was transported to the Anchorage Jail and remanded there with her bail set at $25,000.
