Alaska State Troopers are once again seeking an escapee from the North Star Center, a halfway house in the Fairbanks Correction system.

Alaska State Troopers responded to the center to investigate another walk-away from the facility at 10:55 PM on Thursday night after a report came in from the center that 35-year-old Cody Ladig ran away from the center earlier in the evening at 9:30.

Ladig had been sentenced in a plea deal on September 15th. According to court records, Ladig pleaded guilty to Burglary I-Burglary in a Dwelling, a Class B Felony. In return, a second count of Burglary in a Dwelling was dismissed, as was a count each of Theft II, Theft III and Criminal Mischief by the prosecution.

Ladig was furloughed from the Correctional Center and placed in the North Star Center and was to remain there until June 28th, 2015.

Troopers encourage anyone with information as to Ladig’s whereabouts to contact them at: 451-5100.
