Two Overdue Sport Fishermen Successfully Located Late Saturday

An early morning call to the Alaska State Troopers reported two overdue fishermen near mile 93 of the Parks Highway at Goose Creek at 1:30 am. The caller identified the overdue fishermen as 32-year-old Kao Saelee and a 16-year-old male.

It wasn’t until 3 pm that the 16-year-old male was located at mile 94 of the Parks Highway. The teen reported that he had gotten separated from Saelee during the evening hours of Thursday.

Troopers and friends of Saelee took up the search for the missing Saelee and at 8:20 pm an airborne Alaska Wildlife Trooper out of Talkeetna located the missing man. Saelee was transported out to the Parks Highway by ATV where EMS was already staged.

The two missing persons were transported to a local hospital where they were treated for dehydration and released.
