APD is investigating a stabbing that occurred at the Holiday gas station on Muldoon and Duben that occurred on Sunday morning and are seeking the identity of the suspect, police say.
An Anchorage police officer on patrol was notified of a stabbing at the north Anchorage gas station at 8:31 am on Sunday, when a female employee flagged down the patrol unit as it was passing by.
When APD opened a preliminary investigation, when they spoke with the employee, they found that a red/maroon SUV pulled in to the station and the suspect, described as a six-foot-tall, 250 pound white male “with very short dark hair and a full bushy dark beard,” got out of his vehicle and entered the store.
Only the two employees were present at the station when the suspect entered and made a comment, saying, “getting gas either way,” leaned over the counter and stabbed the male employee in the upper body, then left the store without gas or other merchandise.
The suspect, wearing “a tan T-shirt with something red underneath and light blue jeans,” then climbed back into his vehicle and drove off northbound on Muldoon. The female employee ran out after the suspect then flagged down a passing officer.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adversal-468×60″]
