Wanted North Star Burglar Arrested near Unoccupied Home

image20-05-2014 09.51.03On Thursday evening at 6:15 pm, Alaska State Troopers in North Pole made contact with four individuals deemed suspicious near an unoccupied house that was listed as for sale.

When contacted, one of the individuals was  identified as 38-year-old North Pole resident Ray Groskreutz. An investigation at the scene would find that Groskreutz was wanted on a $10,000 arrest warrant for charges of Burglary I and II and Theft II.

Further investigation would find that he was also on Conditions of Release in a separate case with original charges of Misconduct Involving Weapons III and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV.

Groskreutz was placed under arrest. While placing him under arrest, troopers would find that Groskreutz had controlled substances in his possession as well as credit cards that did not belong to him. Troopers are continuing their investigation, and charges of Fraudulent Use of an Access Device and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Sustance IV may be leveled against Groskreutz

Groskreutz was transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center where he was remanded to await court.
