The Kodiak Police Department responded to the harbor during the early morning hours on Sunday after a report of a wounded man there.

Police responded to the Saint Herman Harbor at 12:40 am on Sunday morning after receiving a report of a man bleeding from several gunshot wounds. When they arrived on-scene, they spoke with several witnesses at the harbor, the Kodiak Police report. The 28-year-old man, who police declined to identify pending notification to next of kin, was rushed to the Kodiak Island Medical Center by the Kodiak Fire Department ambulance, where he was pronounced deceased.

Police say they have arrested 28-year-old Washington resident, Matt Bowe. He has been charged with Murder I in connection with the shooting.

Bowe was remanded to the Kodiak Jail pending arraignment.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
