A Wasilla man has been arrested and charged with 11 counts that include Assault and Weapons Misconduct charges after an early Sunday morning weapons incident at a bonfire, troopers report.

At 2:05 am on Sunday morning, troopers responded to a report of a shooting at the Coal Hills at the end of the Jonesville Mine Road in Sutton. It was reported that a man had shot into a crowd of people there while shooting from a moving vehicle. Injuries and damages at the scene included one person grazed under the right knee, and two vehicles near the bonfire were also struck.

It was reported that the shooter fled the scene in a white Jeep. Troopers would pull over a white 2014 Jeep Patriot near the intersection of the Glenn Highway and the Palmer Fishhook Road. In the vehicle, troopers would identify a passenger as 26-year-old Randi J.D. Lee of Wasilla. 

The investigation revealed that “Lee shot toward the crowd  from a moving vehicle,” the trooper dispatch reported.

Lee was arrested on charges of Assault II, Assault IV x7, Misconduct Involving Weapons I and IV, and Criminal Mischief IV. His bail was set at $5,000.00 c/c and $10,000.00 cash performance.

Lee was arraigned in Palmer court on Sunday morning on charges of MIW I, one count of Assault II, and three counts of Assault III.

Troopers say that alcohol was a factor in the incident.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
