U.S. District Court Judge Sharon Gleason sentenced Ricker after he pled guilty to a Grand Jury indictment charging him with drug conspiracy and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Ricker’s co-conspirator Albert Maifea was sentenced earlier this year by Judge Gleason. He received 84 months in prison and five years of supervised release.
It was in July of 2012 that Ricker facilitated the distribution of 15.7 grams of methamphetamine for payment of $2,900. Before he could conclude another sale of amphetamine, he was apprehended by authorities. While he was involved in that drug conspiracy, Ricker was in possession of a Ruger .40 caliber revolver. He was a felon and was prohibited from possession of a firearm.
The investigation of Ricker’s involvement was carried out by DEA, the Anchorage Police Department and ATFE.
