A man is in jail with no bail set after a traffic stop by Alaska State Troopers for multiple equipment and moving violations early on Sunday morning.
Troopers pulled over a 2003 Hyundai Accent at 12:57 am on Sunday near Iliamna Drive in Wasilla.
THe officers contacted the driver, 25-year-old Wasilla Michael Yunker. It was discovered that Yunker was on probation for a previous Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance conviction.
When a probation search of the vehicle was conducted, the search would uncover substantial amounts of five different controlled substance in the vehicle.
Troopers would find 15 grams of powdered cocaine, 5 grams of crystal meth, 3 grams of Black Tar Heroin, 15 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms, and 15 grams of marijuana. Also found were numerous items related to illegal narcotics distribution.
As a result of the search, Yunker was arrested and charged with three counts of MICS II, one count of MICS III, four counts of MICS IV, and one count of MICS V.
Yunker was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was remanded with no bail set.
