Wasilla Woman Arrested for False Info after Collision

image08-04-2015 09.03.54Troopers arrested a young Wasilla woman on Sunday after she gave troopers false information following a  vehicle collision, troopers report.

Troopers responded to a vehicle collision on East Bogard Road and North Cottonwood Loop in Wasilla at 6:55 pm on Sunday. When they arrived at the scene, they discovered a green 1997 Subaru Legacy had rear-ended a gold 2006 Ford Focus.

When contacting the occupants of the Focus, one of the occupants, identified by troopers as 21-year-old Ashley P. Roberts, reported to troopers that the driver of the vehicle, a male, had bailed from the vehicle after the accident and fled on foot.

After a short investigation, troopers determined that Roberts, contrary to her statement, had been the driver of the vehicle. It was found that Roberts had a suspended license. She was arrested for Driving with a Suspended License, False Information and Probation Violations.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
