Alaska State Troopers, early on Monday morning contacted a man laying face down in the road near Chugach Road and Kalifornsky Beach Road near Soldonta.

When they contacted the 29-year-old Anchorage man at 4:27 am, they continued their welfare check of the man only to find that he was armed.

After finding the weapon on his person, troopers secured the weapon then placed the man under arrest on charges of Misconduct Involving a Weapon V. Troopers remanded the man to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility and set his bail at $250.
