One suspect has been arrested and troopers are seeking the identity and whereabouts of a second suspect in a stabbing assault that took place in Wasilla on Sunday, the trooper dispatch revealed.
Troopers responded to the report of a stabbing at 8:45 pm on Sunday to find that a sixteen-year-old male teen had been stabbed multiple times in the head. He was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. His condition has not been revealed.
According to the ensuing investigation at the scene, it was found that two individuals entered the residence at mile 53 of the Parks Highway, armed with firearms and knives, at the request of a third party, to evict the people living in that home. A disturbance broke out and during that altercation, a 16-year-old teen “was stabbed multiple times in the head,” troopers reported. The rest of the family fled the residence in a vehicle as the two men opened fire and hit the departing vehicle.
The trooper investigation was able to identify one of the suspects as 36-year-old Houston resident, Matthew Nelson. He was arrested on charges of Assault I, Assault II and Assault III. Nelson was transported to Palmer where he was remanded. Nelson’s bail was set at $100,000 plus a Court Approved Third Party Custodian.
