On Thursday after a disturbance in a Wasilla neighborhood, Wasilla police and Alaska State Troopers responded to the scene.
After arriving at the residence on North Pioneer Peak in Wasilla at 9:41 pm, their investigation found that 28-year-old Nicholas Dismukes of Wasilla had discharged a firearm inside the home while in an argument with a family member there.
The investigation also found that the argument escalated after Dismukes shot and killed the family member’s dog inside of the residence.
Subsequent to the results of the investigation, Dismukes was arrested on charge of Misconduct Involving a Weapon IV. Dismukes was transported to Palmer, where he was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was held without bail pending arraignment.
