Alaska State Troopers were notified of a physical altercation taking place on Mission Beach on the outskirts of Kodiak on Sunday, and responded to the scene, taking one into custody, the trooper dispatch reported on Wednesday morning.
It was at 7:50 pm on Sunday, that a concerned citizen called in to the Alaska State Troopers and “reported a physical altercation between two men on Mission Beach,” troopers revealed.
When troopers responded to the scene and opened an investigation into the report, they found that a passing motorist had observed a 44-year-old man assaulting a female on the beach. Stopping, the motorist intervened in the assault, and temporarily fought with some man, identified as 44-year-old Dawson Stone, giving the woman time to escape.
troopers would later contact the woman, and they say that they ” observed bruises and swelling to her face.”
Dawson would be arrested for Domestic Violence Assault IV. He was transported to the Kodiak Jail where he was remanded on those charges and held without bail pending arraignment.
