Thursday, officers with the Patrol Division, Community Action Policing (CAP) and the Investigative Support Unit (ISU) partnered with Fred Meyer (1000 East Northern Lights Blvd.) for another undercover Retail Detail operation.
Officers arrested 25 people for various felony and misdemeanor charges. More than $1500.00 in stolen merchandise was recovered by the team. The arrests included outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants as well as possession of handguns and resisting arrest.
Below is the preliminary Retail Detail round-up list:
- Rhaylnene Lind (42-years-old) was arrested for theft and was found to have an outstanding felony warrant for probation violation for Theft 2. She stole $47.83 worth of merchandise. APD Case: 18-20817
- Jafra White (34-years old) was arrested for Theft, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and violations of conditions of release. She and a 13-year-old female stole $103.86 worth of food items. The juvenile was arrested and released to her parents. APD Case: 18-20824
- Arthur Solomon (30-years-old) and Trent Semaken (28-years-old) were arrested for Theft. Solomon also was arrested on an outstanding warrant for probation violation. They stole $215.17 worth of food and sporting merchandise. APD Case: 18-20830
- Larry Mayfied (57-years-old) was arrested for Theft 3 and Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. He stole $288.56 worth of merchandise. APD Case: 18-20834
- Russell Ambacher (24-years-old) was arrested for Theft, Resisting Arrest and Violations of Conditions of Release. He stole $40.55 worth of merchandise. He concealed the items and attempted to run. Officers caught him and took him into custody. APD Case: 18-20832
- Andres Slats (20-years-old) was arrested for Theft and an outstanding felony warrant for Failure to Appear for Criminal Trespass and Theft 2. He stole $5.48 worth of food and tried to hide it. APD Case: 18-20833
- Ralph Clairmont (44-years-old) was arrested for Theft. He stole $13.69 worth of alcohol. APD Case: 18-20837
- Cody McElroy (33-years-old) was arrested for Theft and Concealed Weapon. He stole $54.99 worth of shoes. He was in possession of a concealed gun and didn’t notify officers of the fact. APD Case: 18-20840
- Antonio Dukes (41-years-old) was arrested for Theft. He stole $11.26 worth of food and tried to hide it. APD Case: 18-20843
- Nicholas Smith (34-years-old) was arrested for Theft. He stole $52.50 worth of shoes. APD Case: 18-20848
- Dusty Starr (39-years-old) was arrested for on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for Theft. Employees recognized her from her warrant. APD Case: 18-20851
- Osum Griffin (35-years-old) was arrested for Theft, Resisting Arrest and Violations of Conditions of Release. Kyle Paye (32-years-old) was arrested for Misconduct Involving a Weapon 3 and Misconduct Involving a Weapon 5. Griffin stole three cans of spray paint, concealed the merchandise and ran from officers towards Paye who was waiting in a getaway vehicle. Paye was the driver. Officers caught Griffin and took him into custody. Paye was a felon in possession of a handgun and failed to notify officers. The vehicle is a black Honda sedan and was impounded pending further investigation. APD Case: 18-20853
- Robert May (20-years-old) was arrested for Theft. He stole a comforter worth $34.99. APD Case: 18-20870
- John Dahlquist (50-years-old) was arrested for Theft and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 4. He stole $87.87 worth of merchandise, stuffed it into his backpack and walked out. He was also found to be in possession of heroin. APD Case: 18-20875
- Alajuwan Felths (20-years-old) was arrested for Theft. He stole $22.98 worth of anti-freeze. APD Case: 18-20871
- Kyle Plouvier (29-years-old) was arrested for Trespass. Employees recognized him as a repeat trespass offender. APD Case: 18-20874
- Somer Busby-White (20-years-old) was arrested for Theft. He stole $6.59 worth of food. APD Case: 18-20877
- Lindy Bowie (28-years-old) was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant for promoting contraband, Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 3, Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 4 and a misdemeanor warrant for Failure to Appear in reference to Operating Under the Influence. Officers recognized her from her warrants and took her into custody. APD Case: 18-20886
- Thomas Dickson (33-years-old) was arrested for Theft, Criminal Mischief and Resisting Arrest. He stole a bicycle from outside the store. He fled by riding away on the stolen bike towards Fireweed Lane. When Dickson looked back and saw an unmarked police vehicle turn on its warning lights, he pedaled faster to flee. As the suspect turned onto 22nd Avenue, an officer parked at the other end to block the suspect from escape. The suspect refused to stop, rode into the side of the officer’s vehicle and fell off the stolen bike. He was evaluated at the scene by medics and didn’t need treatment. - Tianna Ray (23-years-old) was arrested for Theft. She stole $337.15 worth of merchandise. APD Case: 18-20889
- Jeanette Karasti (37-years-old) was arrested for Theft and Resisting Arrest. She was also arrested on an outstanding felony warrant for Failure to Appear in reference to Theft. She stole $221.22 worth of merchandise. APD Case: 18-20893
- Aaron Sumstad (39-years-old) was arrested for Theft. He stole fake fingernails worth $48.25, hid the fingernails in his jacket pocket and walked out the store. Officers took him into custody. APD Case: 18-20887
Retail Detail is an on-going partnership operation involving officers from multiple units and retailers in an effort to prevent and discourage theft.
