A Saturday evening ATV ride ended tragically for a  Fairbanks man outside of Delta Junction when he rolled his vehicle.

Troopers responded to a fatal ATV accident along the Goodpaster River outside of Delta Junction at 7:40 pm Saturday evening, the trooper dispatch reported.

According to the accident investigation at that location, troopers found that 47-year-old Bryan Imus of Fairbanks was riding his ATV near the riverbank when he lost control of his vehicle. As a result, the ATV rolled, ending atop Imus causing fatal injuries. Imus was the only person aboard the  ATV at the time of the accident.

The State Medical Examiner in Anchorage was notified and requested Imus’s remains for an autopsy.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adversal-468×60″]

AST suspects no foul play.

Next of kin were notified of the incident.
