Representative Guttenberg was unable to participate in the traditional swearing-in ceremony on the first day of the 28th Legislature’s session last week. He had remained in Fairbanks to care for his wife, Marilyn, who is undergoing medical treatment.
“The outpouring of support for Marilyn and me has been deeply gratifying,” Rep. Guttenberg said. “We’d like to thank all the Alaskans who have offered their assistance, good wishes, thoughts, prayers, and love. We are truly fortunate people.”
