After an investigation ongoing since late last month, Alaska State Troopers arrested and charged a Palmer man for Sexual Abuse of a Minor and other charges.
The Alaska State Troopers Child Abuse Investigation Unit was notifed by a caller that 28-year-old Christopher Byers was sexually abusing a member of his family, according to the trooper dispatch.
Troopers, along with the Anchorage Police Department Crimes Against Children Unit, began an investigation into the accusations.
On Friday, October 11, Troopers arrested Byers at 5:35 pm. Byers was charged with four counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor I, four counts of Incest, four counts of Unlawful Exploitation of a Minor I, and Evidence Tampering.
Byers was transported to the Anchorage Jail where he was remanded with no bail until arraignment.
