Alaska State Troopers based in Fairbanks responded to College Road at 2:05 pm on Tuesday afternoon for a bicycle/vehicle collision that occurred there shortly before.

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Fire Department also responded to the scene. At the scene, it was found that 22-year-old Caitlan Donnelly had suffered injuries to her lower body in the collision, which resulted in her being transported to the Fairbanks Memorial Hospital by the fire department for treatment of her injuries.

The trooper investigation at the scene, where several witnesses were present, would find that 70-year-old Sara Williams was driving a Toyota Tacoma westbound  on College Road when she came to the intersection there. Crossing the intersection from the east side was Donnelly. The two collided at the intersection.

Troopers are continuing to investigate the incident.
