Late Thursday night, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance at a residence near Musk Ox Street in Big Lake.
When they arrived at the residence at 10:10 pm, their investigation revealed that 38-year-old Big Lake resident Brandon Schatz had fired a handgun five times at a neighbor.
As a result of the trooper’s investigation, Schatz was arrested and charged with five counts of Misconduct Involving Weapons II and six counts each of Assault III and Misconduct Involving a Weapon IV.
No injuries were sustained in the incident.
Schatz was transported to the Mat Su Pretrial Facility where he was remanded with no bail set.
