Alaska State troopers and the Homer Police Department went to a residence off of the Sterling Highway on Thursday afternoon at 1 PM and contacted 20-year-old Nanwalek resident Travis C. Greene and promptly arrested him on sexual abuse charges.
Troopers arrested Greene on an outstanding warrant on the charges of Sexual Abuse of a Minor I and Sexual Abuse of a Minor II.
Greene and previously been in Homer Court on the case, but charges were dismissed after a delay in the Superior Court transfer in the case causing a lack of a preliminary hearing and the case was disposed and closed on September 20.
But, the case was reopened after an indictment was filed in Superior Court and a $50,000 cash performance, $10,000 cash appearance and court appointed third-party custodian warrant was issued on Greene. The attorney for Greene requested the warrant be quashed on October 7, but that request was denied by Judge Anna Moran. Another bench warrant quash hearing was requested on October 10, but Green was arrested the next day.
Greene was arrested, transported, and remanded to the Homer Jail where he is being held on $60,000 cash bail.
