It was announced by U.S. Attorney Karen Loeffler in Anchorage on Thursday, that a 25-year-old Anchorage man, DeMar Moultrie was sentenced in an Anchorage Federal Court for his role in an Anchorage and Fairbanks drug conspiracy.
Moultrie, who has gone by the aliases “Duckmane” and “All Day,” was sentenced by Judge Ralph Beistline to a sentence of 40 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release. Moultrie pleaded guilty to an indictment charging him and his co-conspirators to one count of Drug Conspiracy.

According to the prosecutor in the case, Assistant U.S. Attorney Kelly Cavanaugh, the case arose from the actions of Moultrie as a member of a drug trafficking organization between 2009 and 2012 as he sold cocaine, marijuana, and oxycodone pills in both Anchorage and Fairbanks.
When his residence was searched, cocaine, a stolen firearm and $1,300 in cash was found. Other items that were consistant with drug trafficking were also found.
The proceeds of Moultrie’s drug enterprise were disguised as income from legitimate business. Moultrie and his co-conspirators were part of the Hip Hop group known as “Up North Drug Boys” for “Out Da Cutt” or “ODC Records.” The group performed live in Anchorage and Fairbanks, and posted vieos to YouTube. Their Hip Hop act glorified drug trafficking and committing other crimes. Their lavish and extravagant lifestyles that were portayed in their videos were a direct result of their drug sales.
Two weeks after one of Moutrie’s co-conspirators was arrested in connection with several kilos of cocaine, Moultrie and three others chartered a private flight and left the state. The private flight took them to Seattle. Moultrie was later arrested in Rochester, New York and returned to Alaska.
Moultrie was indicted along with 13 other members of this conspiracy. Christopher Anderson was previously sentenced to 14 months prison on November 2, 2012. DonnellJohnson, Joshua Mustovich, Mihla Hall, Antonio Fleming, Dalon Johnson, Tevoris Carter, Jeraelyn Hill, Rock Phelps,Jerry Wormley, Emma Shine, and Brent Gunnels have pled guilty for their roles in connection with the conspiracy and await sentencing. Terrance Fleming has a pending trial scheduled in August 2013.
