domestic violenceFairbanks-based troopers responded to a disturbance call reporting an altercation in a gray GMC Yukon that was parked at a Farmer’s Loop Road residence.

When troopers responded, they found that the female involved in the incident had already fled the scene. Their investigation at the scene revealed that an unnamed 26-year-old Fairbanks woman had gotten into an argument with the male complainant while in the vehicle.  “The suspect struck the victim in the face several times, then attempted to “stick” him with a knife,” the trooper dispatch reports.

“The victim attempted to defend himself by tasing the woman,” but that only resulted in the suspect becoming more violent and she hit him in the head with the blunt end of a hatchet and biting him, the troopers continued.

After the incident, the female suspect locked herself in the vehicle and poured oil around in the interior, after which, she attempted to set the fuel on fire. During this time, she also damaged the steering column of the vehicle, after which, she fled the scene.
