While the nation celebrated Mother's Day, a parade in New Orleans was targetted by a gunman on Sunday.
As the small parade, organized by the Original Big Seven, made its way down a neighborhood street in the 7th Ward, a gunman stepped out from the side of a building where he waited for the parade, and opened fire on the crowd at close range.

Although no one was killed, ten men seven women, and two 10-year-olds were wounded.
Police in New Orleans are calling the incident street violence and not terrorism.
Although only one man was caught on camera doing the shooting, police are looking for three suspects in the violence. Police also announced that at least two different types of gunfire at the scene leading them to believe that at least two gunmen were involved.
Officers present at the scene say that they saw three gunmen fleeing from the location after the incident occurred. They say the suspect’s ages ranged from 18 to 22.
Eleven people were taken to the local hospital, two of those underwent surgery for their injuries.
A $10,000 reward has been posted for information leading to the arrest of the gunman or gunmen by the New Orleans police in the hopes that someone will come forward with information.
