Conrad Hugh Hilton III was arrested on federal charges this week after disrupting a Flight from London to LA last year.

After being named in a criminal complain by British Airways, one of the heirs to the Hilton hotel fortune, 20-year-old Conrad Hughes Hilton, on Thursday, was arrested by the FBI for interference with flight crew-members and attendants aboard flight 269 from London to LA that took place in July of 2014.

In sworn affidavits, FBI agents related their investigation into the air rage incident that took place on the 10.5 hour flight from Europe to the west Coast of the U.S.

Flight crew and attendants who witnessed the hours-long tirade by the Hilton heir said that the disruption of the flight began even before take-off from London. That is when a flight attendant requested that he turn off his cell phone. Hilton initially refused to do so, but after much coaxing, eventually turned it off.

But, that was only the beginning  of the problems with Hilton. Within five minutes of take-off, as the “fasten seatbelts” sign was still on, Hilton would leave his seat and go to the aircraft’s rear galley. When asked to return to his seat, Hilton replied that since the flight attendants could be up, he should be allowed as well. He told attendants, “I’ve got a f****ing problem.” When told again to return to his seat, Hilton replied, “Not unless you want me to hit someone four rows behind!”

Hilton would get back up and return to the galley when the seatbelt light was extinguished. It was then that  Hilton told the attendants that a person on the flight was giving him the “Stinkeye.” He told them at that time that the man “either wants to fight me or f***k me, but I’m not gay.”

Things escalated from there. Soon Hilton was slinging profanities left and right at the attendants and crew, intimidating them and attempting to illicit a response. At one point in the flight, Hilton slammed his fist into a bulkhead, barely missing a flight attendant’s face in an attempt to intimidate.

About thirty minutes into the flight, Hilton’s behavior only got worse. His behavior and shouting profanities delayed food service for almost an hour.

Later Hilton would confront on of the attendants again and threateningly say, “I’m going to f***ing kill you” several times, before grabbing the attendant by the shirt at his name tag and telling him, “I could get you fired in five minutes. I know your boss!” He then said, “My father will pay this out, he has done it before. Dad paid $300,000 last time.”

Hilton’s disruptive behavior would cause one of the pilots to monitor him instead of performing his assigned duties for the duration of the flight. A flight attendant followed Hilton around as Hilton flung profanities at attendants and passengers alike, at one time, Hilton would say, “I will f***ing own anyone on this flight; they are f***ing peasants.”

Hilton would tell the attendant to “Stop following me!” At one point Hilton told crew, “If you wanna square up with me bro, then bring it on and I will f***ing fight you.”

As the flight continued, Hilton was repeatedly warned to behave. Soon, a written final warning was read aloud and given to him. Hilton responded by tearing the document up.

During the flight, Hilton’s antics made others on the flight very apprehensive and more than once children began crying because of Hilton’s profane outbursts.

On one occasion, Hilton went into one of the bathrooms and attendants could smell the aroma of cannabis. When confronted after exiting the bathroom, Hilton would run up to another bathroom on another level of the aircraft and lock himself in and smoke a cigarette. When he exited the lavatory, attendants would find that he had used towels to block up the smoke detector.

When told to surrender his cigarettes and lighter or be restrained, Hilton gave up the smokes and went to sleep for a time.

Approximately 75 minutes before landing at LAX, the captain of the flight authorized the flight crew to restrain Hilton because of concerns that  he would disrupt the landing procedure. As Hilton was sleeping, he was restrained and cuffed. To that, Hilton awoke and shouted, “I am going to f***ing kill you!” He also said during the restraining process, Hilton told the flight attendants that he was a model and that they were going to ruin his career.

After the flight, Hilton was interviewed by the FBI. He was read his rights, which he waived and agreed to be interviewed. During that interview, Hilton bragged that he “buried” the flight attendants and also stated that he told them that he “could get all of their jobs taken away from them in 30 seconds.” He also admitted to calling other passengers on the flight “peasants.”

He also told the agent, that he had confronted one of the attendants, saying, “I went off on him       to the point where he had to leave the room and was so embarrassed. I shouted in front of all of his colleagues. It was brutal. But, he deserved it.” He also told the FBI that another man had calmed him down. He said, “If that man wasn’t there, that guy would have been killed in the flight. A hundred percent I would have killed him.” When queried if he meant that, Hilton replied, “No, but I would have knocked him the f***k out a hundred percent.”

Hilton also told the FBI that prior to boarding the aircraft, he had taken a sleeping pill.

Hilton’s attorney, Robert Shapiro told reporters that Hilton had been indeed taken a sleeping pill, and his actions may have been from the affects of a sleeping pill.

Although it is unlikely, Hilton faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison. Hilton was released on $100,000 bail.

His next court appearance is in March.
