50-year-old Houston Man, David Bellmay died from injuries sustained in an accident that occurred on Trunk Road on Thursday.

On Thursday evening, as Bellmay was traveling southbound on Trunk Road with one adult passenger and one 7-yea-old child in his 2000 Pontiac Trans Am, he crossed over the centerline into oncoming traffic and was struck by a 1994 Toyota 4Runner traveling northbound.

Both adults in Bellmay’s Trans Am, as well as the driver and passenger of the 4Runner were taken to the Mat-Su Regional Hospital, and the 7-year-old child was flown to Providence Hospital in Anchorage.

Bellmay’s next of kin has been notified.

The investigation into the accident is continuing.
