During the early morning hours of Sunday, troopers received a call of a burglary in progress in Palmer.
Troopers responded to the 911 call at 3:05 am on Sunday morning that reported a burglary taking place on Pope’s Road in Palmer.
Upon arrival, troopers were informed that the homeowner confronted a man, later identified as 28-year-old Adrian Baer of Chickaloon, with a firearm after Baer forced his way into the residence. When confronted, Baer fled the scene.
Baer was apprehended a short distance away by troopers. When interviewed by troopers, Baer told officers that he had forced his way in thinking that the home was that of a friend.
Baer was arrested on Criminal Mischief V charges and transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility, where he was remanded and his bail set at O/R.
Troopers say that alcohol was a factor in the incident.
